1 · Who we are

2 · What you are buying
These terms govern the sale of:
- Kit IOD21 subscription (€9 a month, launch price, with a 7-day free trial): the complete system for Claude Code, digital content you download to your computer, with continuous updates while the subscription is active;
- Student Kit IOD21 subscription (€5 a month, launch price, with a 7-day free trial): the same full Kit, at a price reserved for people enrolled at a school or university (see Student price); the study modules are included from day one: your school portal with
scuola, calendar, Telegram and monitor; - Kit IOD21 + starter call (€12 the first month, then €9 a month): the same Kit subscription, plus a 45-minute starter video call for €3 (launch price);
- Segretario IOD21 (€39, €69 or €19 a month depending on the plan; founders plan €19 a month for the first 50 subscribers, with a 3-day free trial): an ongoing digital service, by subscription;
- Student Segretario (€15 a month VAT included, with a 3-day free trial): the same ongoing digital service as Segretario IOD21, built for students, by subscription; if you connect your school portal with your login details, we handle them as explained in Your data;
- Interprete IOD21 (€19 a month, or €29 a month with your voice, with a 3-day free trial): Mac app and call translation service, by subscription, on the conditions of the section Interprete IOD21;
- Full Setup (on request): a quoted service, outside this checkout, governed by the specific contract agreed with the customer.
3 · Prices and payment
All prices shown include VAT under the applicable regime (Italian, or that of the customer’s country for sales to consumers in other EU countries). Payment is made through Stripe: after the free trial the first charge is made on the eighth day, the following ones automatically every month on the same date, until you cancel. You receive a receipt by email for every payment.
Launch prices
€9 a month for the Kit IOD21 and €5 a month for the Student Kit are launch prices, guaranteed for the first paid month of the subscription. From later renewals the price may change, only with an email notice at least 30 days in advance and with the option to cancel without penalty, as explained in Changes to the terms and prices.
Founding members. The first 50 subscribers to the Kit IOD21 are founding members: they keep the price of €9 a month forever, as long as their subscription stays active. We confirm it by email. If the subscription closes, through cancellation or a failed payment, the founding member price cannot be recovered.
Starter call
The Kit + starter call is paid like this: the starter call costs €3 once only (launch price; the planned full price is €25) and the Kit €9 a month, so €12 the first month and then €9 a month. The price of the call is the one shown at the time of purchase.
The price stays the one you accepted at checkout, except for changes made under the rules of the section Changes to the terms and prices. The Kit works with your own Claude subscription or API key: you pay Anthropic for them separately and they are not included in our prices.
4 · 7-day free trial
The Kit IOD21, in all versions, can be tried free for 7 days. When you sign up you enter a payment card, but we charge nothing: the licence code arrives straight away and you use the full Kit. The first charge is made on the eighth day, unless you have cancelled before then.
If you cancel during the trial, from the Stripe customer portal or by writing to information@iod21.com, you pay nothing: the cancellation takes effect at the end of the trial and until then you keep using the Kit. Afterwards, the files you have already downloaded and installed stay on your computer and you can keep using them for personal use; updates and new activations stop, as after any cancellation. The same applies if the first charge fails.
For the Kit + starter call, the starter call (€3) is paid at purchase, the Kit from the eighth day.
Segretario IOD21, founders plan. It offers a free 3-day trial: enter a payment card, but we won’t charge you anything while the trial lasts. The first charge (€19) happens on the fourth day, if you haven’t cancelled before then. If you cancel during the trial, from the Stripe customer portal or by writing to information@iod21.com, you pay nothing: the cancellation takes effect at the end of the trial. The same 14-day right of withdrawal from sign-up applies, as explained in Right of withdrawal and its exceptions.
Student Segretario. It offers a free 3-day trial, on the same terms as the founders plan: the first charge (€15) is taken on the fourth day unless you have cancelled before, and renewal, cancellation and withdrawal follow the same rules as Segretario IOD21.
5 · Subscription: renewal and cancellation
The Kit IOD21 (in all versions) and Segretario IOD21 are monthly subscriptions: they renew automatically every month, with no minimum term, until you cancel. For the Kit, the first paid month starts at the end of the free trial.
How to cancel
You can cancel whenever you like, in two ways: from the Stripe customer portal, using the link in your payment emails, or by writing to information@iod21.com (ideally from the address used for the purchase, so we recognise you straight away). You don’t need to give a reason and there are no penalties or costs. Cancellation takes effect from the next renewal: the month already paid is not refunded and until it ends the Kit keeps receiving updates and Segretario keeps working. We confirm the cancellation by email.
What stays after you cancel
- Kit IOD21 (all versions): the files you have already downloaded and installed stay on your computer and you can keep using them, always within the limits of the personal licence. Updates, new activations and the other functions linked to our server stop (included community kits, the engine where included): you can’t activate the code on another computer or download the modules again.
- Segretario IOD21: it is a service, so at the end of the paid period it stops and nothing stays active. We handle your data as explained in Your data.
You can subscribe again whenever you like.
If a payment fails
If a charge fails (including the first one, at the end of the trial), Stripe lets you know and tries again over the following days. Until the payment goes through, updates and new activations stop at the end of the period already paid, with a few days' grace; if the last attempt also fails, the subscription closes as if you had cancelled.
6 · Delivery and starter call
The Kit licence code arrives by email right after you sign up, during the free trial too: with the code you activate the Kit on your computer and download the modules. Access to Segretario is activated right after payment, usually within 20 minutes.
Starter call of the Kit + starter call. It is a 45-minute video call in which we activate the Kit together, set up the map and switch on the first system. We schedule it by email within one working day of payment and hold it within 5 working days, at a time agreed with you (or later, if you prefer).
7 · Right of withdrawal and its exceptions
You have the right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason, by writing to information@iod21.com (you can also use the form at the bottom of this page). Withdrawal concerns the initial purchase: monthly renewals do not open a new withdrawal period; to stop them, simply cancel.
The right of withdrawal no longer applies, for the part already supplied, if at checkout you chose “Sì” (yes) in the required field “Fornitura immediata e diritto di recesso” (immediate supply and right of withdrawal), by which you ask to receive the Kit or the call straight away and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal:
- for the Kit IOD21 (including the Student Kit and the Kit + starter call), when you activate the code or download the modules: from that moment the digital content is supplied (Article 59(1)(o) of the Italian Consumer Code);
- for the starter call, once the call has taken place: from that moment the service is performed (Article 59(1)(a) of the Italian Consumer Code);
- for Segretario, once the service has been activated, with the same express consent.
Withdrawal and free trial. During the trial you pay nothing, so there is nothing to refund: if the Kit isn’t for you, simply cancel before the trial ends. The 14 days for withdrawal run from sign-up, that is from the start of the trial.
We confirm your consent by email together with the purchase. If you withdraw in time, we refund you as explained in Refunds; if the withdrawal concerns the Kit, we close the subscription and deactivate the code.
8 · Refunds
Kit IOD21, Student Kit and Kit + starter call. If you withdraw within 14 days of sign-up and have not yet activated the code or downloaded the modules, we refund everything you have paid in full (during the trial you have paid nothing: simply cancel). For the Kit + starter call, withdrawal works part by part: if you have already had the call but not activated the code, we refund the first month of the Kit (€9); if you have activated the code but not had the call, we refund the call (€3) and the Kit subscription continues. Once the code is activated the first month is not refundable; for the following months cancellation applies, from the next renewal and with no refund for a month already started. The legal guarantee of conformity always applies: if the Kit doesn’t work as described, we fix it or, if that’s not possible, you are entitled to a price reduction or to terminate the contract.
Segretario IOD21 (subscription). You can cancel whenever you like as explained in Subscription: renewal and cancellation: cancellation takes effect at the next renewal, with no refund for a month already started. In the first month, if you haven’t used the service yet, you have a full 14-day right of withdrawal from activation.
Full Setup. As a quoted service outside the standard checkout, withdrawal and refund conditions are set out in the specific contract agreed with the customer.
How to ask for a refund. Write to information@iod21.com stating the order and the reason. If the refund is due, we process it within 14 days of the request (or of the return, where applicable), using the same payment method as the purchase, at no extra cost to you.
9 · Student price
The Student Kit costs €5 a month and is reserved for people enrolled at a school or university. At checkout you are asked to enter your school or university: by doing so you declare that you are a student there. We may ask you for proof of enrolment, for example your student card, an enrolment certificate or an email from your institutional address.
If you don’t send us the proof within 14 days of our request, or you turn out not to be enrolled, we may close the student-price subscription from the next renewal, letting you know by email: you can carry on with the full Kit IOD21 at its own price. We use enrolment data only for this check (see Your data).
10 · Interprete IOD21
What you buy. A monthly subscription to Interprete IOD21: the Mac app and the service that translates your calls. You speak your language, the other person hears the translation in a synthetic voice; what they say appears translated on your screen. You need a Mac with macOS 26 or later, headphones and an internet connection. The licence is valid on at most 2 Macs at a time.
Plans and minutes. Interprete IOD21 at €19 a month and Interprete IOD21 with your voice at €29 a month, VAT included (launch prices). Each plan includes 300 minutes of translated speech a month; one minute equals about 1,000 characters of translated text. Unused minutes don’t roll over to the next month. When they run out, the app keeps translating right on the Mac, more literally, until the start of the following month.
Free trial. You can try it free for 3 days, up to 60 minutes: you enter a payment card, but we charge nothing while the trial lasts. The first charge happens when the trial ends, unless you cancelled before; if you cancel during the trial you pay nothing. Renewal, cancellation, withdrawal and guarantee follow the rules of the sections Subscription, Right of withdrawal and Guarantee: the licence code works like the Kit code and, after cancellation, the app stops translating at the end of the paid period.
Your voice. In the voice plan you can create a synthetic copy of your voice, recording a short text in the app and giving your consent. You can only record your own voice, never someone else’s. The voice copy only says the translation of your sentences, in the calls where you use the app; you delete it from the app whenever you like, and when the subscription ends we delete it within 30 days (see Your data). If the voice service is not available, the Mac voice speaks instead.
Transparency with the people listening. You agree to tell the other person, at the start of the call, that they are hearing a translation made by an AI interpreter, in your voice if you use the voice plan. The app has a ready-made sentence, “Introduce the interpreter”. You may not use the Interprete to make people believe someone else is speaking, to deceive, or to record someone without their consent. In case of breach we may suspend or close the subscription and delete the voice.
What we don’t guarantee. The translation is automatic and arrives with about a second of delay: it can make mistakes, especially with proper names, figures and technical terms, and it doesn’t replace a professional interpreter. Check the line “You told the client” and repeat what matters. Don’t use it for legal or medical negotiations or for decisions where a translation error could cause harm: the sentences you send to the other person remain your responsibility.
11 · Legal guarantee of conformity
For digital content and services you are entitled to the legal guarantee of conformity under Articles 135-octies and following of the Italian Consumer Code: if the Kit or Segretario doesn’t work as described, you are entitled to have it fixed within a reasonable time and free of charge; if that’s not possible or doesn’t happen in time, you are entitled to a price reduction or to terminate the contract.
The Kit subscription and Segretario are continuous supplies: the guarantee covers defects that appear throughout the subscription, free trial included.
The updates needed to keep the Kit in conformity are included throughout the subscription. If you choose not to install an update we have told you about, explaining what happens if you don’t install it, we are not liable for defects caused solely by not installing it.
12 · Licence to use and updates
The licence
- The licence is personal and non-transferable: it cannot be passed on to other people or companies.
- It can be used on no more than 2 devices at a time.
- It is forbidden to redistribute the Kit IOD21, its files or its content to third parties, even free of charge.
- Every module and every prompt of the Kit contains a declared watermark with the licence number and the email in masked form: every copy can be traced back to the licence and the watermark must not be removed (see Personal use, copies and penalty).
- While the subscription is active the licence lets you activate the code and receive updates; you can keep using the files already installed afterwards too, for personal use, as explained in Subscription: renewal and cancellation.
Personal use, copies and penalty
- The Kit IOD21 licence is personal and non-transferable: it is valid only for you, on at most 2 devices, and it cannot be transferred, lent or shared, not even for free.
- Every module and every prompt of the Kit carries a declared watermark with your licence number and your email address in masked form (for example g***@gmail.com): every copy can be traced back to the licence it comes from. The watermark must not be removed or altered.
- It is forbidden to share the Kit or its files with other people, to publish them (online or in closed groups) and to resell them, in whole or in part, even modified.
- Penalty clause (article 1382 of the Italian Civil Code). If you breach point 3 you pay IOD21 S.r.l., as a penalty, €500 for each copy given to third parties and €5,000 in case of resale or publication, without prejudice to compensation for further damage.
- In case of breach we may terminate the subscription with immediate effect and revoke the licence, with no refund of the current period.
The engine and the usage quota
Segretario (and, if active, the Kit) relies on an engine with a usage quota included in every plan. Use must remain fair and in good faith: no attempts to get around the quota, to use the licence beyond the permitted devices or to overload the service.
Updates
While the subscription is active you receive continuous updates to the Kit, included in the price. Every update comes with a note explaining what changed: you choose whether and when to install it and you can go back to the previous version of a module. When you cancel, or when the subscription closes because of a failed payment, updates stop. For Segretario, updates are included throughout the subscription.
Linked functions and licence check. Some Kit functions go through our server: updates, included community kits, activation on a new computer and, in the plans that include it, the research engine. For these the Kit checks the licence status: the server on every request, the engine with a check from the last 14 days. The check sends only the licence number and a technical fingerprint of the computer. On a computer other than the activated ones the linked functions do not start. Installed files always work, even offline and after cancellation, as explained in What stays after you cancel.
Changes to the Kit
Updates may add, improve, change or remove parts of the Kit, for example to follow changes in Claude Code, for security or to improve the method, at no extra cost to you. If a change makes your use of the Kit noticeably worse, we tell you by email beforehand and you can terminate the subscription free of charge within 30 days of the notice or of the change.
Licence revocation
We may revoke a licence in case of abuse: unauthorised redistribution, use beyond the permitted devices, attempts to get around the quota or the encryption, or use of the service that puts other customers at risk. If a licence is revoked, modules already downloaded stay on the disk but stop working with the engine.
13 · Use of the system and liability
The Kit IOD21 and Segretario IOD21 are tools: they prepare email drafts, appointment proposals, research and summaries. We do not guarantee any commercial or financial result, such as new clients, sales or savings.
- Every message, change or action happens only after your approval, and you remain responsible for what you approve.
- AI models can make mistakes: always check the drafts before approving them.
- For the Kit and for the Segretario with your own key plan you need your own Claude subscription or API key: you activate it with Anthropic and comply with its terms of use.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profits or missed opportunities, arising from the use of the system. This never affects your rights as a consumer: the legal guarantee of conformity, the right of withdrawal and our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence always remain in force.
14 · Support
For questions or problems with the Kit, Segretario or a payment, write to information@iod21.com. The Kit + starter call includes the starter call described in Delivery and starter call. Segretario includes the support provided by your active plan.
15 · Changes to the terms and prices
We may change these terms or subscription prices only for a valid reason: the end of the launch prices, changes in the law or tax rules, in our providers' costs (for example Anthropic, Stripe or servers), in the features of the Kit or Segretario, or in Claude Code. We notify you by email at least 30 days in advance, explaining what changes and why. Changes apply from the first renewal after the notice period; if you don’t agree you can cancel before then, with no penalty, and until then the previous conditions remain. Changes in your favour, such as a price cut, may apply immediately. Founding members keep €9 a month in any case as long as their subscription stays active.
16 · Personal data
How we process your data is described in full on the page Your data. In short: we collect your email, the licence identifier, a technical fingerprint of the device (pseudonymous data), the subscription status, IP addresses in encrypted form in the logs, usage data and the text of requests sent to the engine; for the student price, also the school or university you enter and, if we ask for it, proof of enrolment. The legal bases are the contract to provide the licence, legitimate interest for security and abuse prevention, and separate consent for any newsletter. The providers involved (Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Anthropic) have a data processing agreement, with the EU standard contractual clauses where the provider is outside the European Union. Servers stay in Europe wherever possible.
Retention: the text of requests to the engine for 30 days, technical logs for 12 months, licence data for the whole duration of the subscription plus 2 years, proof of enrolment only for as long as the check takes.
17 · Governing law and court
These terms are governed by Italian law. For consumers, the consumer’s court provided by law applies; for business customers (with a VAT number) the court of Grosseto has jurisdiction, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
To make a complaint, write to information@iod21.com. To settle a dispute out of court you can also turn to a consumer alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body, as provided by Articles 141 and following of the Italian Consumer Code.
The contract is concluded in Italian: the English version of this page is a courtesy translation. We keep the version of the terms in force at the time of each purchase and send you a copy on request. This version of the terms is dated 4 October 2026.
