Speak Italian. Your client hears you in English.
On Meet, Zoom, Teams or FaceTime calls you speak Italian as usual: your client hears the English translation about a second after your sentence. What they say appears in Italian in a small window that stays on top.
- About 1 second
- after each of your sentences
- No extensions
- Meet, Zoom, Teams and FaceTime
- 3 days free

Three steps, then you talk as usual
- 1
Install the app, the first time
Download Interprete IOD21, paste your code and follow the guided steps: microphone, voice, permissions and an audio test. About 10 minutes.
- 2
In the call, pick the Interprete microphone
In Meet, Zoom or Teams choose the microphone the app shows you, and your headphones as speakers. You do it once per program.
- 3
You speak Italian, your client hears English
Speak in sentences, with a short pause: about a second later your client hears the translation. What they say, you read in Italian in the Interprete window.
A call in another language, without the effort
Your client only hears English
Your Italian voice never reaches the call: only the translation does. With the voice plan, they hear it in your own voice.
Subtitles for you
What your client says appears in Italian, large and easy to read, in a small window that stays on top. It never takes the keyboard away from the call.
Three buttons, nothing more
Pause when you talk to someone in the room, “Introduce the interpreter” to let your client know, “Repeat” to say the last sentence again.
See what you said
Under the subtitles there is the line “You told the client”: you check names and figures while you talk.
- 1I can hear youthe green dot: the Interprete is listening, grey means paused
- 2Your client’s sentences, in Italiannew ones in black, older ones in grey
- 3You told the clientthe last sentence they heard, in English
- 4Pause, Introduce the interpreter, Repeatthree large buttons, always the same

Before you try it
About a second of delay
The translation starts when you make a short pause. If you talk for a long time without stopping, the English voice follows you sentence by sentence, a little behind.
Double-check names and figures
Speech recognition can get a proper name or a number wrong. Say them clearly and look at the line “You told the client”.
With headphones
Without headphones your client’s voice can leak back into the microphone. The app blocks it, but if you both talk at once some of your words get lost.
It doesn’t replace a professional interpreter
For legal or medical negotiations, or wherever every word counts, you need a person. The Interprete is for everyday work calls.
And in any case: no recordings. Call audio never leaves your Mac.
Does my client know they are hearing a translation?
Yes, and they should. With “Introduce the interpreter” the app tells them in English that you speak Italian and that an AI interpreter translates your words. We ask you to use it, or to say it yourself, at the start of every call.
Does it work with Meet, Zoom and Teams?
Yes, and with FaceTime too, no extensions. In the call choose the microphone the app shows you and your headphones as speakers: the app shows you where, with an audio test.
Do you record my calls?
No. Speech recognition happens on your Mac and the audio never leaves it. To translate, only the text goes out, and we don’t keep it: we only keep the count of the month’s minutes. Details are in Your data.
What happens when I run out of minutes?
The app doesn’t stop: it keeps translating right on your Mac, a bit more literally, until the start of next month. It tells you in the window. 300 minutes of speech is about 10 half-hour calls.
How does the personal voice work?
In the app you read a short text for about 2 minutes and confirm your consent. We create a synthetic copy of your voice that only says your translations. Only your own voice, never someone else’s, and you delete it from the app whenever you like.
Which languages?
Italian and English. Also Italian and French, and French and English: pick the pair in the app, with one click.
Which Mac do I need?
A Mac with macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later, with Apple or Intel chip. Apple’s new speech recognition runs on the Mac: on earlier versions the app won’t start. For now there is no Windows or phone version.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes, at any time. During the free trial, if you cancel before it ends you pay nothing.
Try the Interprete in your next call.
3 days free, then €19 a month, or €29 with your voice. Cancel whenever you like.
